This is a bad way to phrase this question

Using medical marijuana to alleviate real illness and disease versus using marijuana to alter your state of being. What do the scriptures say? That is far more relevant than what I or Craig Gross says. Have you examined the scriptures? I do believe God created cannabis for a reason but to use something to "get closer" to God is the opposite of the Gospel. Jesus said it is finished. Nothing else is needed to start your relationship with God. Marijuana is also not uniform in its side effects. Many people have negative side effects while others might not experience any. But the question still stays the same, Does smoking weed help you serve and glorify God in a richer, deeper way?
