I understand the medical use, but recreational smoking of marijuana is not biblically recommended.
EPH 5:18 tells us we should not use things to alter our minds. I have never heard anyone smoke a joint “for the flavor”. They smile it for only one reason, the high. Marijuana should be limited to forms that can be used medicinally and prescriptions should be required. You should only be able to get it from a pharmacy. I have watched many friends and family members go from the unregulated use for anxiety and other issues to becoming addicted, not going a single day without being high. Even for medicinal purposes, it will ruin you if it isn’t regulated like most other mind altering drugs. Be careful with its use.
