I use it. It’s not a miracle drug. People make that claim only when they feel the need to justify using it. Just use it, or don’t: no need to make it something it isn’t. It sometimes makes me paranoid and anxious. That used to happen more often until I learned how to send my thoughts in a different direction. It makes me sleep very well, that’s for sure.
It’s more like alcohol than anything: it alters a person’s reality, and some Christians are okay with it while others are not. But when all the BS is cleared away, it’s just a plant that makes a person feel different. That’s really all there is to it.
It helps deal with pain, that’s for sure. It doesn’t take the pain away, but it makes it tolerable, as if the pain just doesn’t matter anymore.
It has very very NEGATIVE effects on most schizophrenics and can actually make them quite worse. I’ve experienced this when using it with a person who suffers from schizophrenia. Should Christians use it? I don’t see why not. I really don’t think God has a problem with it. But for some people it DOES open doors that should stay closed. That’s just a fact.
