As a pastor I've never used cannabis but see the medical benefits and appreciate it's now legalized to make it easier for people who are suffering
My wife took a gummy when her mom died and it helped her sleep. I'm also not scared of recreational use as long as it's not abused as is the case for alcohol. I'm tired of traditionalism and conservatism driving so much of Christianity.
Passages like: "your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit", "it's permissible but not beneficial", and the like are just being applied to anything the person doesn't like. Stop fearing it also as the gateway drug or if you do use the gateway drug argument, say it as an opinion rather than the Christian stance.
